The Jewish National
and University Library is happy to present here a small initial sample
of the recorded treasures of its National Sound Archives. The archive is
now being systematically digitized which will insure both preservation
of the materials and better access for researchers.
The following digital
fragments of the Passover song “Echad mi yodea” (in MP3 format) illustrate
the range of Jewish communities represented in the Archive’s more than
7,000 hours of recorded music:
