The Library has separate online files for various special collections and databases, which can be accessed through ALEPH

The catalogue of most of the collections are in the process of being converted retrospectively

  • Edelstein Collection
    History, philosophy and sociology of science, technology and medicine
    with an emphasis on chemistry, textiles and a large section on Jews in medicine. Includes many rare books. About 25% of the catalogue is online

  • European Union Depository Collection
    Publications of the European Union. The entire catalogue is online

  • Gershom Scholem Collection
    Kabbalah, mysticism, and the history of religions. Includes many rare books. The entire catalogue is online

  • Index of Articles on Jewish Studies (RAMBI)
    Current periodical index on Judaism, Jewish history and Israel, online since 1966

  • Jewish Music
    Books, scores, recordings, archives etc. of Israeli and Jewish music

  • Microfilmed Hebrew Manuscripts
    Microfilms of over 90% known Hebrew manuscripts from libraries throughout the world. About 20% of the catalogue is online

  • Master Films of Jewish Press
    A continuously growing collection of master microfilms of Israeli and Jewish newspapers and periodicals
    Microfilm copies of non-copyright titles can be ordered from the Interlibrary Loan Department. The entire catalogue is online

  • National Sound Archives
    Audio material of musical traditions of the various Jewish and non-Jewish communities in Palestine and Israel. It holds collections from the 1930's to date. Using a special application of the ALEPH system, about 30% of the archives are online, in Hebrew only
  • Israeli Internet Sites Archive
    Experimental project to preserve complete copies of Israeli Internet sites. The archive contains two collections: the first includes sites dealing with the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the second includes sites relating to the election to the 17th Knesset
