Commentary on Avot & Shemona PerakimMaimonides attached an introduction to his commentary on tractate Avot, in which he expounded on morality and the nature of man’s soul. This introduction, known as Shemona Perakim, was translated together with the commentary by Ibn Tibbon. In many manuscripts, both of these works were copied and printed as one unit separate from the commentary on Seder Nezikin. The first edition appeared in Soncino , Italy in 1484-1485.
